A magnificent 20-light chandelier in gilded bronze, richly adorned with Baccarat crystals, dating from the late 19th century or the very early 20th century, circa 1900–1910.

Executed with exceptional craftsmanship, this chandelier features an elegant gilded bronze frame, composed of gracefully curved arms, volutes, and acanthus leaves. Its slender silhouette and balanced proportions give it a remarkable presence despite its relatively modest diameter for a 20-light fixture.

It features a particularly rich array of cut crystals, including chains of octagons, drops, and pear-shaped crystals of various sizes, spearheads, prisms, and delicate star-shaped elements.

The molded crystal quarter-round basins, a characteristic design regularly produced by the Baccarat crystal factory, bear the Baccarat signature in block letters on some of them. These elements attest to the quality of the crystals used in its creation.

The richly crafted upper section is adorned with garlands of crystals and star motifs that harmoniously complement the overall design. At the bottom, a large crystal finial, beautifully cut with olive and star patterns, completes the composition.

This chandelier is a high-quality piece, both for the finesse of its frame and the richness and diversity of its crystal trim.

Restoration and Electrical Work:

Originally designed for electric lighting, this chandelier has undergone a meticulous restoration in our workshop.

Its electrical system has been completely redone, with Class I wiring, including grounding of the metal parts. This makes it suitable for installation in both private residences and public-access facilities (ERP), such as hotels, restaurants, or high-end establishments, provided the installation complies with the applicable requirements for the location.

It is equipped with 20 LED bulbs, providing generous lighting while minimizing power consumption.

The gilding shows some slight, localized wear consistent with the piece’s age, without detracting from its overall aesthetic. The piece is in excellent condition and fully functional.
