Lounge chair from the Aluminum Group series, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1958, produced by Herman Miller. The Herman Miller logo and the part numbers 683/84 and 938-011 are stamped into the cast aluminum beneath the seat.
Polished aluminum frame. Swiveling four-leg base with glides; tilt adjustment via a knob. Seat and backrest in beige-ochre hopsack fabric stretched between the side profiles, with a headrest cushion.
Condition consistent with its age. Some marks and slight discoloration on the fabric. On one armrest, the original chrome plating is partially missing due to previous cleaning with an unsuitable product. Scratches and surface wear on the armrests; small marks on the base. The tilt and swivel mechanisms are in working order.
