Patinated Bronze Vase, Japan, Workshop Signature, 20th Century
Bronze vase with flared neck resting on a carved wooden base. The body features a marbled patina in shades of red, amber and brown, obtained by surface treatment. Two stylized side handles frame a frieze in relief with decoration inspired by antique bronzes.
The base bears a stamp embossed in Sino-Japanese characters. Work attributable to a 20th-century Japanese production, possibly related to the Takaoka metalworking tradition.
