Square coffee table attributed to Jean-Claude Mahey, France, 1970s.
Black lacquered wood frame with a glossy finish. Square tabletop accented by a brass trim forming a geometric border. Recessed central base, also lacquered black.
According to the owners, this table was purchased from Maison Romeo in Paris in the 1970s. No original proof of purchase has been retained.
Shows signs of use with scratches and micro-scratches on the lacquered surfaces, mainly on the tabletop, as well as some marks from regular use. The scratches are more visible under direct or low-angle light. Some signs of wear on the brass trim and edges.
Slight peeling of the lacquer where it meets the brass trim, visible in some areas. See detailed photographs.
