Regency-era Coffee Table—louis XV Style—made Of Waxed Oak, With Rocaille And Quatrefoil Motifs, 18th Century

A very elegant Regency-Louis XV style coffee table made of solid oak with a waxed patina.
Our table rests on four legs, each featuring a graceful curve known as a “goat’s foot” and edged along its entire length with delicate molding that ends in a carved foot.
The upper portion of each leg is adorned with a carved drop motif.
The apron is decorated on all four sides; in the center of each side is a beautiful rocaille design and elegant acanthus scrolls framed by cartouches featuring a latticework and four-leaf motif, motifs typical of the first half of the 18th century and very common in the Paris region.
The piece is topped by a tabletop adorned with molding around its entire perimeter; this tabletop was likely made in the 19th century to replace a marble top.
A few small reinforcements were added beneath this top in the mid-20th century (see photos).
We also note that the leg tips were extended by approximately ten centimeters; this work was very well executed and is barely visible (see photo).
