Vintage mechanical perpetual mantel clock manufactured by the Swiss luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre.  The timepiece features a rectangular 24k gold-plated brass case fitted with 5 clear flat glass panels enclosing the chamber.  The clock operates on a 15-jewel Caliber 528 movement powered by a hermetically sealed gas bellows expansion capsule. The central round dial features a white lacquered chapter ring with applied gold-toned Arabic numerals at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 positions, alternating with tapered baton dart hour markers.  A rotating ring-shaped torsion pendulum balance wheel is positioned suspended under the main gear train.  The underside of the base features three adjustable circular leveling feet and a central stabilization lock mechanism.  The base plate is stamped with the text LeCoultre & Co Metal Caliber 528.
