Beautiful Ottoman Lamp Base Made From Turned Bronze, 17th–18th Centuries

H. 29 cm; base diameter 22 cm;  weight: 1.3 kg
Elegant bronze candlestick with a wide, circular molded base and a tall, turned shaft.
The base, which flares out widely and is constructed in concentric tiers, features a molded peripheral border whose outline  appears to be cut into panels.
It supports a central dome topped by a slender shaft, marked by several rings and successive bulges.
Deep, wide bowl, curved and banded.
This is likely the base of an Ottoman lamp like the one shown in the last photo (Sotheby’s-Pinterest at Chandeliers Anciens), and this one bears a strong resemblance to it; this model, more complete, is dated 1612…
In good condition, with a beautiful sheen to bronze; there is a small restoration on the side (photo)
