The Introduction Of The Rosary By A 17th-century Provençal School

The Virgin and Child in a cloud, handing out rosaries; the Virgin to Saint Dominic; the Infant Jesus to a saint, probably Saint Catherine of Siena. The painting is executed on a lightweight wooden panel (poplar?) and is set in a molded wooden frame gilded with gold leaf on the back. The panel alone measures 65.4 x 48.8 cm.
