Manuscript detailing the history of the nobility of the Von Cléric family, originally from Lomazzo in northern Italy. The family was admitted to the bourgeoisie of Como (Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland) in 1357, before being ennobled by Emperor Charles IV in 1369.
Manuscript compiled beginning in 1729 by a single scribe. The last two genealogical tables were completed at least after 1860 with handwritten entries in another hand, as was customary for ledgers.
One volume, Italian-style format, 30.5 x 22.3 cm, 81 pages, and four genealogical tables. Color illustrations of coats of arms.
Full calfskin binding with cold-stamped frames and fleurons. Gilded edges. (Some damage and wear)
