GILDED BRONZE CARTEL, JAPY FRÈRES, in the Louis XVI style; the gilt bronze case is surmounted by an urn-shaped finial with applied tassels, flanked by foliage finials, and decorated with acanthus and laurel leaf pendants. The central section is adorned with an openwork lattice and a rocaille motif above a leaf-decorated base. Circular white enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute markers, gilded openwork hands. The two-wheel train movement is stamped JAPY FRÈRES & CIE / MEDAILLE D’HONNEUR, with a bell chime on the hour and half-hour. Complete.
