Openwork guard shell and counter-shell decorated with palmette motifs.

Sturdy 96.5 cm blade, straight with a flat back, a single cutting edge, and two fuller grooves along its entire length; the point extends in line with the back of the blade.
Leather scabbard with two brass fittings; a very long-tailed pommel with an iron tip and a brass cap, both cut out and decorated with engraved lines.

The blade still has its leather tie at the heel; no visible hallmark, though it may be hidden beneath the tie.
