Charles Léon Godeby (1866–1952) was a French painter trained under Jean-Léon Gérôme and Luc-Olivier Merson. Exhibiting at the Salons in Paris, Toulouse, Besançon, and Mulhouse beginning in 1890, he was best known for his Breton, Venetian, and Orientalist landscapes. He also created two triptychs for the grand staircase of Quimper City Hall and served as curator of the Museum of Fine Arts in the same city.
