Carved and water-gilt "guantiera" frame in the Neoclassical taste. The profile opens with a plain outer fillet, followed by an egg-and-dart frieze running along the whole perimeter. Next comes a broad concave gilt cove without decoration. Towards the sight edge the frame closes with a fine frieze of stylised leaves. Where the gilding is worn, the red bole beneath shows through and gives the surface a warm overall patina.

Condition report: Good state of preservation, with signs of age and wear to the gilding.
