Pair Of Neoclassical Vases From The Restoration Period, Circa 1820.
A pair of neoclassical "Medici"-style vases in chiseled bronze, gilded with mercury, and patinated bronze. The neck features a frieze of pearls and gadroons in gilded bronze. The body of the vase is encircled by a gilded band decorated with a vine motif, and the belly features ram’s-head handles topped with a volute adorned with fleurons. The square, stepped base is flanked by a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon and rests on a plinth adorned with a frieze of water leaves.
