The body of the vase features a central medallion depicting a female mask adorned with bunches of grapes (likely a Bacchante), surrounded by a knotted laurel wreath. Pierre-Philippe THOMIRE (1751–1843)

French sculptor, bronze artist, foundryman, engraver, and gilder.
One of the most remarkable bronze artists of his generation, he is renowned for his production of bronze furnishings during the Ancien Régime. He elevated this craft to its highest level of quality during the Empire, while also establishing, in the early years of the 19th century, an industrial enterprise with a European reach. He retired in 1823.
