A rectangular steel snuffbox, inlaid with yellow copper, red copper, and tin, decorated on all sides with garlands of flowers. The lid is centered with a cabochon, formerly blued, decorated with a basket of roses flanked by neoclassical vases of flowers. The interior is lined with yellow copper engraved with flowers. Russian work from the Imperial Tula Manufactory, late 18th century.
