A fine and rare antique truffle slicer, a miniature mandoline made of cast brass or bronze, hand-cut and shaped with elegant violin-like contours.

It features a bevelled steel blade pivoting on its axis, secured by a cut wrought-iron spring-mounted arrow-shaped fitting. This ingenious mechanism allows the angle of the blade to be adjusted for finer or thicker shavings.
