A copper bath tub, formerly tin-plated to resemble silver.
Our model is lavishly decorated with friezes featuring ornamental motifs.

Scrollwork, animals (primarily deer), stylized flowers, blooming roses, and a wide frieze featuring Kufic calligraphy.
Dated to the Qajar Dynasty, circa 1800–1850, the first half of the 19th century.
This piece features a beautiful patina and is in very good condition, with a harmonious form and museum-quality craftsmanship.

A Turkmen dynasty that ruled Iran from 1786 to 1925

The lid is decorated in the center with a large rosette featuring twelve trees of life—rosebushes—arranged in a star pattern, encircled by a beaded frieze.
Surrounding this is a frieze featuring pairs of deer facing each other in niches
This sumptuous object comes from the estate of a diplomat stationed in Tehran in the early 20th century.

The bath trunk was traditionally used for trips to oriental baths.
Wealthy ladies would take it with them to keep their jewelry safe by entrusting it to the bath attendants.
This item was also available with a locking mechanism.

Two examples are preserved in the museums of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation collection, part of Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage.
