Pol Noël, whose real name was Paul Pérot (1851 –1911):
Pol Noël, whose real name was Paul Pérot, was a French painter of landscapes and seascapes, active in the Vendée, Brittany, and Normandy. He was the grandnephew of the painter Jules Noël, whose artistic inspiration he carried on. He depicted ports, boats, and rural scenes from western France. He exhibited at the Salon de La Roche-sur-Yon in 1893 and created several decorative designs for mansions in the Vendée region, notably on the theme of the Île d’Yeu.
