Thiswalnut writing desk opens with a drawer on one side.Originating from Valais, it exhibits all the region’s characteristic features:elegance and finesse in the turned woodwork, a rounded X-shaped crossbar,which rests in the center on a fifth leg. In good condition;the wood used was selected at the time with theutmost care and has endured the centuries without suffering from thepassage of time. A second drawer once existed on the other side but wasremoved in the past.
