Louis XIII Style Games Table, In Walnut, 17th Century
This elegant Louis XIII table is made of solid walnut. Its cabaret-style top is covered in gold leather, and the rim is molded. The straight apron features a small molding along its edge and is supported by four finely turned baluster-shaped uprights connected by a rotating stretcher. It rests on four small spherical feet. Likely originally a games table, its cabaret-style top allowed for throwing dice, but thanks to its leather, it can also serve as a library table, or simply as a side table; its lightness makes it easy to move. It is in excellent condition and is one of those small pieces of furniture that have become extremely rare on the market. 17th century. Dimensions: tabletop 90 cm x 67 cm, height 71 cm.
