Fernand Ouillon-carrère (1879–1959) *the Dancer With Daggers*, 1919
A large bronze sculpture with a golden patina, depicting a young nude dancer balancing on the tip of one foot, her body delicately animated by a twisting movement, her arms raised in an elegant and dynamic pose.
The figure rests on a circular bronze pedestal adorned with small spheres, mounted on a substantial quadrangular base of white marble veined with pink and orange, with beveled sides.
Beautifully modeled, particularly evident in the rendering of the body, hands, and hair.
Signed and dated on the pedestal: “F. Ouillon Carrère 1919.”
