Blaise, bookseller to H.R.H. the Dowager Duchess of Orléans, at 61 Quai des Augustins, “La Bible d’Or” (during the reign of Charles X). Large-format In-8, with paper that is as fresh as new, and featuring meticulous typography and illustrations, including portraits and facsimiles of unfolded letters, all in a sumptuous binding with smooth spines adorned with gilded metal frames, while the covers are stamped with the school’s famous emblem. An edition adorned with three portraits and six facsimiles.
