Lovely pair of stained walnut straw chairs with a back carved from an elegant soup tureen with a gadrooned base and swan-neck handles, the elegant and solid curved back in a curule shape. Quality and healthy seats with strong decorative value, in the image of the late 18th century, and announcing the Directoire period the prodigious production of the First Empire style full of elegance and solemnity. These two seats are solid and the straw is healthy, the turned spacers in reinforcement joining the curved legs with front bar and front band under the straw. The decorative interest of these two easy-to-handle chairs and that one can use and leave set back on either side of a piece of furniture in a living room, a dining room, or quite simply a bedroom to put one's things there.
