Small Leaded Sun Mirror, Probably From The 17th Or 18th Century, France.
A rare mirror with a lead frame shaped like sunbeams. This type of design was commonly used for monstrances, gilded wooden mirrors, and larger sculptural elements. This frame shows traces of silver plating. The mirror itself is slightly pitted. The wooden backing plate was replaced in the 20th century.
