Rare 18th-century case
containing a complete set of 11 buttons for a formal coat.
Surface encrusted with sparkling marcasite stones. Ring clasp on the back. Nine buttons are in good condition; two show signs of wear and tear, visible in the photos.
Original case: A rigid burgundy leather case stamped with the gold initials M DE G. Interior lined with silk and blue velvet. Functional brass push-button clasp.
An authentic set, perfect for collectors of antique buttons, aristocratic objects, or folk art.
