Iconic site in art history. At the end of the 19th century, this building—located on the Finistère coast in a place called Le Pouldu—welcomed within its walls the painters of the Pont-Aven School: Paul Gauguin, Paul Sérusier, Émile Bernard, Charles Filiger, and Meyer-de-Haan.

Information about the painter is scarce:
Ronan Loth was born in Cherbourg in 1893 and died in 1959.
His father, Yvan Alfred Loth, served as director of the School of Fine Arts in Algiers in 1938.
Loth exhibited at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français in 1923.
His favorite subjects were landscapes of Brittany and North Africa.

Oil on canvas, in perfect condition, signed with the “Ronanloth” stamp in the lower left corner and datable to the early 20th century.Dimensions: 17,1 x 26,2 Inches unframed and 23,4 x 32,7 Inches with its superb solid wood frame.
