Smoker's kit, Japan, 19th century. It consists of a wooden tobacco box decorated with a character (Tabako ire) and a woven wicker pipe case, the lid in silver metal (Kiseruzutsu).
The 2 elements are connected by a cord on which 2 Japanese coins are placed.
This set was worn on the belt, traditional Japanese clothing does not have pockets.
