The base boasts striking ornamentation, including large opposing scrolls, crozier-like coils, inward-facing central scrolls, and a small leafy finial on the lower stretcher, all resting on four ball feet; it displays exceptional forging quality and period welds. The substantial marble top features a molded ogee edge and a shaped "arbalète" (crossbow) profile with beak-style corners.
