Cabriolet-style backrest with violin-shaped contours,
carved with small flowers that also appear in the center of the front crossbar of the seat frame.
The seat rests on curved legs.
Worn caning; restorations and missing sections.
Stamped JP Letellier and JME (Guild of Carpenters and Cabinetmakers)
Jacques-Pierre Letellier “the Younger,” who became a master craftsman in 1767, took over his father’s family workshop and diversified production. He produced chairs and furniture until the Revolutionary period.
