An exquisite and rare late 19th-century / early 20th-century French Art Nouveau inkwell with its matching original lid, created by master ceramist Pierre-Adrien Dalpayrat (1844–1910).
Crafted in high-fired stoneware (grès émaillé), this inkwell features an organic, lobed polygonal shape.
It is coated with Dalpayrat’s legendary flambé glaze, showcasing his celebrated "Rouge Dalpayrat" (sang-de-bœuf / oxblood) subtly mingled with vibrant turquoise, peacock-green, and warm ochre crystallizations.
Incised signature "Dalpayrat" on the unglazed underside base.
