René Lalique (1861-1945) "Pervenches" Box
Cobalt Blue Molded-Pressed Glass 1929
Molded signature R. Lalique France

Superb oval box in cobalt-blue molded-pressed glass, the "Pervenches" model, created by René Lalique in 1929, here in a version particularly seductive for the intensity of its color.
The decoration, composed of a dense sowing of stylized periwinkle flowers, is treated in relief with alternating satin-finished and polished surfaces, Lalique's emblematic aesthetic signature. The light subtly glides over the motifs, revealing all the depth and richness of the cobalt blue.
This model perfectly illustrates Lalique's stylistic maturity in the late 1920s, when naturalistic stylization achieves a remarkable balance between decoration and material.
A fine example, both decorative and functional, highly sought-after by Art Deco glass collectors.
