This lovely pair of cups, decorated with enamel in the Imari style, depicts the "Three Friends of Winter": pine, plum, and bamboo (Shôchikubai-mon). On the reverse is a Chinese mark from the Chenghua reign. Edo period (1603–1868), 18th century.
