Bronze Hallway Lantern – Regency Style – 19th Century

A very beautiful Regency-style bronze hallway lantern, dating from the late 19th century, circa 1880–1900.

A particularly decorative piece, featuring an elegant structure with glass panels entirely crafted from bronze. The frame is richly adorned with volutes, scrolls, acanthus leaves, and foliage motifs—characteristic of the Regency repertoire and foreshadowing the Louis XV style.

The upper section, which is heavily openwork, is particularly striking with its large, ornate crown and sweeping consoles. The entire piece is suspended by a sturdy bronze chain, also antique.

Inside, the lantern features several light arms arranged around a central shaft. The molded glass shades provide a lovely finishing touch to the piece.
