Two-part Louis XV Style Oak Buffet From The 18th Century
A Louis XV two-part oak buffet from the 18th century, showcasing fine regional craftsmanship. It features four molded doors distributed across two sections. The upper section reveals an interior fitted with shelves against a background of antique wood planks. The lower section offers two drawers in the frieze above two doors. The whole rests on cabriole legs joined by a shaped stretcher, characteristic of the Louis XV style. The front is elegantly punctuated by molded panels with flowing lines, highlighted by uprights with understated decoration. The projecting cornice adds a striking presence to the piece. This piece displays a beautiful antique patina, sound wood, and restorations consistent with its period. The interior retains its original features, although the lower section has been reupholstered.
