Chiseled iron tsuba depicting a figure with a silver face and gold pants, seated beneath a shishi mask for the shishimai dance, wearing a kimono with mitsu tomo-yé, jô-mon (main crest) of the Funa-koshi samurai, the Hashi-moto, Hiji-kata, and Ita-kura kuge of An-naka and Niwa-sé, Ko-baya-kawa, and Ku-ki of Aya-bé; the kuge Miyanari and Ogura, Okabe, the samurai Ōki, the kuge Ōmiya, Shōtai, the kuge Umezono and Yamamoto; kaye-mon (secondary crest) of the Ari-ma of Ku-ru-mé and Fuki-age, and Ita-kura of Fuku-shima.
He holds a fan between his toes; the shakudo fabric of his costume is covered with stylized gold branches; the entire piece is accented with gold and silver.
Reverse side with remnants of a signature.
