Glazed Ceramic Fish Set – Le Brescon – Vallauris
Glazed ceramic fish serving set by Le Brescon, characteristic of mid-20th-century Vallauris production, circa 1950–1960.
The set consists of 28 pieces, all with black bases and decorated with enameled fish. Each fish features a different design, giving the set a wide variety of shapes and colors.
The set includes:
12 dinner plates, 25 cm
12 small soup bowls, 20 cm
1 round platter, 36 cm in diameter, 5 cm high
1 oval platter, 36 × 25 cm, height 7 cm
1 large oblong platter, 71 × 27 cm
1 sauceboat, diameter 12 cm
All plates and serving dishes, with the exception of the sauce boat, are marked on the underside.
