LOUIS XV-STYLE CHEST OF DRAWERS, 18th century.

An elegant, curvilinear chiffonnière from the Louis XV period, crafted in the 18th century, featuring fine craftsmanship and particularly refined veneer decoration.

The cabinet opens at the front with three stacked drawers, each adorned with a remarkable geometric scroll veneer design, framed by light-colored wood moldings and accented with delicate keyholes and gilded bronze handles.

The side panels are also finished with veneer featuring radiating motifs, arranged in four panels around a central point, reflecting the care taken in the composition of the visible surfaces.

The rectangular top, with slightly rounded corners, features a rich radiating marquetry design, organized around a central medallion and accentuated by a dark border and light wood fillets.

The piece rests on four curved Louis XV-style legs, elegantly arched and topped with small gilded bronze feet.
The lower crossbar, slightly scalloped, harmoniously complements the piece’s dynamic silhouette.

The combination of veneers with contrasting grain patterns, geometric scrollwork, framing moldings, and gilded bronze accents lends this small piece of furniture great decorative elegance.
