Louis XV Commode With Birds, 19th Century
A Louis XV commode, curved on all sides, in rosewood and violet wood marquetry, decorated with flowers and birds veneered in precious woods, within sinuous cartouches. It opens at the front with two large drawers. Its top is a lovely Aleppo breccia marble, with a molded edge. It rests on slightly cabriole legs, fitted with gilt bronze sabots. It measures 113 cm in length (100 cm at the front), 54 cm in depth, and 90 cm in height. It is in very good condition.
