Small Drum Commode - XIXth
Small Louis XV-Louis XVI transition style chest of drawers chest of drawers, in mahogany, amaranth and ebony and lemon tree fillets. It is decorated with marquetry on all sides. Its white marble top veined with Carrara gray from Italy is surrounded by a gallery in gilded brass. It opens with a zipper covered with red velvet and 3 drawers on the front. It rests on 4 curved sheathed feet ending in elegant gilt bronze clogs.
Period late nineteenth.
