Antique Louis XVI Mirror Decorated With An Urn, Birds, And Garlands

A very beautiful Louis XVI-era mirror, with a particularly elegant appearance, crafted in a decorative style of great richness and with a rare quality of execution.

The frame, entirely carved and gilded, features an architecturally structured composition of remarkable harmony, punctuated by interlacing patterns, latticework, beaded friezes, and sequences of geometric motifs, characteristic of the Louis XVI ornamental repertoire.

The upper section is the focal point of this mirror. It is dominated by a monumental, richly carved urn, surmounted by a bouquet of flowers and foliage, from which flames or plant elements seem to emerge. On either side, generous garlands of flowers and foliage unfurl, enlivened by small carved birds, lending the whole a particularly refined and poetic quality.
