Bronze Head Of Mars From The Roman Period, Circa The 2nd–3rd Century A.d.

Beautiful head of Mars cast in bronze using the lost-wax (hollow) method and finely modeled, likely derived from a statuette or bust. The god, with curly hair, wearsa Corinthian helmet with a high crest, adorned with incised foliage motifs onboth sides. The top of the head is pierced.
