A beautiful still life depicting, on a white tablecloth, a small jug—known as a “gargoulette”—made of green-glazed terracotta, surrounded by three yellow and gray apples. This gargoulette is typical of the Languedoc region. Light coming from the left creates a lovely reflection on the belly of the vessel. A beautiful, well-balanced composition set against a light brown background.
