Tableware: French craftsmanship, circa 1820
Openwork jam jar made of crystal and silver-plated metal on red copper, closed with a lid.
The shape is reminiscent of an antique vase, with a design of scrolls and clusters of fruit on the handles, foliage and ovals on the rim, and four balls serving as feet. The crystal bowl is cut with a fluted wheel pattern. Two hallmarks are engraved beneath the base: “Restauration.”
Restauration period: circa 1820.
Condition: good condition; some wear from use and age on the silver plating; the crystal is in perfect condition.
