Large Louis XVI-style cufflink box in crystal and solid silver, made in the late 19th century, circa 1890.
A luxury piece crafted from crystal featuring a “Venetian ribbed” pattern, adorned with a design of cascading flowers painted in gold, and a silver lid with a beaded border and pine cone-shaped clasp. It bears no monogram.
The lid bears the Minerve 1st title hallmark (950/1000 silver alloy), as well as a Puiforcat silversmith’s hallmark.
The crystal does not bear the crystal manufacturer’s signature (produced before 1936).
This piece is ideal for storing the everyday items of a refined gentleman: cufflinks, signet ring, watch, and other small personal items.
