Empire-style armchair in mahogany and mahogany veneer, with a curved backrest for added comfort, double-console front legs, and rear legs in the Etruscan style, with molded mahogany armrests. A luxury piece featuring armrests adorned with gilded bronze rosettes.A Parisian piece from the 1810s, unmarked and in the style of Marcion or attributable to his workshop.

For this collector’s armchair, we commissioned a restoration to Mobilier National standards: buffed varnish, horsehair upholstery in the “knife-blade knife-edge” style, which we covered with a Gericault-patterned silk from Maison Lelièvre, enhanced with double gold-thread braiding.
