Its front is adorned with a remarkable central panel carved in high relief depicting the biblical scene of the sacrifice of Isaac.
The composition is divided into three narrative sections:
the servants on the left, the altar in the center, and the angel holding back Abraham’s arm on the right.
The panel is enhanced by a frame of generously molded friezes, carved with gadroons, foliage, and acanthus leaves.
Rare! The chest has retained its original lock and key, both in perfect working order.
