Inlayed Display Cabinet From The Second Half Of The 19th Century

An elegant display cabinet from the second half of the 19th century, crafted entirely from walnut. Clearly inspired by the Victorian style, it features a linear structure entirely veneered in walnut, characterized by a rich, symmetrical, and mirror-image figure on the doors and side panels. The upper section features a linear, molded top, with a lower band embellished at the center by a delicate geometric and floral fillet inlay that underscores the piece’s elegance, and finished with a beautiful, intricately crafted frame made entirely of gilded bronze. The two large central doors feature expansive glass panels with beveled corners at the top and are entirely encircled by fillet inlay. The two side posts are fully filleted and inlaid like the upper band and embellished with beautiful gilded bronze accents at both the top and base.The piece rests on a solid base decorated at the bottom with a soft, double-wave shaped profile. Inside, there are two shelves completely upholstered with walnut wood fronts and inlaid with double fillets. The cabinet has been fully restored and reupholstered and is entirely original in every part. Given its size and great elegance, it is ideal for placement in both elegant rooms and formal studies; and given its dimensions, it can be placed in spaces with limited room, such as hallways or small entryways, as its very modest depth allows for this.
