Late 19th-century Inlaid Display Cabinet
Small inlaid display cabinet of French origin from the late 19th century. The display cabinet, with a very simple and linear structure, is entirely veneered in rosewood and features inlaid decoration on the front with geometric motifs of double moldings made of boxwood. It has two glass-paned doors, with small medallion-shaped inlays at the upper corners, inlaid with olive wood and featuring double-profile molding all around; similarly, the side posts are also inlaid with double-profile molding and small medallions at the top and bottom, again inlaid with olive wood. The base of the display cabinet is fully contoured on both the front and sides, and the interior features two shelves. The display cabinet has been completely restored and is ready for use, with the interior fully reupholstered. Given its dimensions, this piece can be placed in any type of room, including a small entryway or in a corner, etc.
