Pair Of Two-light Silver-plated Candlesticks, Late 19th Century
An elegant pair of two-light candlesticks in silver-plated metal by Victor Saglier, a Parisian silversmith from the second half of the 19th century.
Each candlestick features two finely molded, curved arms extending from a central shaft adorned with plant motifs, topped by an elegant fruit-shaped knob. The circular base, with radiating gadroons, is accented by a foliage frieze. The candle holders feature a fluted design characteristic of the Neoclassical style.
Victor Saglier hallmark: VS and a sailboat.
